African Geese
The African Goose is one of the largest breeds of domestic geese, yet despite their size, are incredibly gentle. This makes the African a real favourite of ours.

Araucana (Bantam) - Lavendar, Blue
These lovely little blue egg layers are very friendly and make great characters. Their crests, muffs and beards adds to their lovely temperaments therefore making these ideal garden pets. We tend to keep them for their eggs but do occasionally exhibit a nice bird.

Australorp (Large) - Black
A dual purpose utility bird that is incredibly docile and very good looking. Their glossy, beetle-green feathers and red comb create a terribly elegant bird.

Australorp (Bantam) - Black
A miniature model of the large fowl, however we find them to be slightly cheekier. We refer to them as little dumplings. These are great if space/range is an issue for keeping the large fowl.
Sadly we are no longer looking to keep bantam Australorps.

Barnevelder (Large) - Silver Double Laced
The Barnevelder is another utility bird that lays brown eggs (much lighter than the Marans). Our favourites are the silver double laced as they are incredibly eyecatching. They are slightly more energetic than an Australorp, but not as flighty as a Welsummer. Excellent garden birds.

Barnevelder (Bantam) - Silver Double Laced
Similar to the Large, just smaller, and in our opinion, even more aesthetically pleasing!

Black East Indian
The Black East Indian is the oldest breed of bantam duck. The BEI has black bills, black feet and a beetlegreen sheen to the feathers when the light reflects off them. They are the cheekiest waterfowl we keep, if there is naughtiness, they will be in it.

Cayuga
The Cayuga is just as attractive as the Black East Indian, except it is larger. They are a heavy breed and also quite rare. We received a handful of Best Cayuga's as well as Best Exhibitor of the Cayuga in 2015.

Indian Runner - Black, Chocolate
Runners are not only very entertaining to keep, but also great 'slug gobblers' aka pest control!

Marans (Large) - English Cuckoo, French Copper Blue/Black
A Utility bird that lays a dark brown egg. The French laying a darker egg than the Cuckoo, the Copper Blue is our favourite Marans. The French has slightly feathered legs unlike the English. Both making excellent garden birds producing beautifully coloured eggs for the house.

Marans (Bantam) - English Cuckoo
A smaller version of the Large Cuckoo Marans, laying much smaller eggs of dark to light brown colouring. We have had a few Best Eggs with Marans Bantams eggs.

Muscovy - Black, Chocolate
The Muscovy duck makes great a broody. It is a heavy duck and derives from a sub group of perching ducks. Both the ducks and drakes like to perch and the ducks can fly. They are also very strong and have very sharp claws (to help them perch). We like the Muscovies as they are quite characterful, with their 'chuffing' and 'purring' greetings to one another, however if looking to start with Muscovies, consideration would be needed for the management of them.
Sadly we are no longer looking to keep the Muscovy duck.

Plymouth Rock (Bantam) - Barred
A neat little bird, with lots of character.

Sussex (Large) - Light
The Light Sussex is a Utility bird that is dual purpose. Our strain of Light Sussex encompasses some of the top Utility bloodlines in the country - they are not exhibition quality. We have a bit of a soft spot for the Light Sussex.
Sadly we are no longer looking to keep Large Light Sussex.

Sussex (Bantam) - Silver/Coronation/Light
Sussex bantams are absolutely lovely, and the different colours are beautiful. These are ideal for anyone who cannot keep the large fowl and perhaps wants some nice garden pets or exhibition birds.

Welsummer (Large) - Partridge/Silver Duckwing
Similar to the Sussex, the Welsummer is a dual purpose utility bird too. Although not quite as large as the Sussex, the Welsummers come with a bit of a reputation. Once handled, the birds settle down, but they can be quite flighty. The Partridge lays a darker egg and is also more common than the Silver Duckwing. We keep both as the large fowl do tend to get overlooked these days.

Welsummer (Bantam) - Partridge
The Partridge Welsummer Bantam is a very tidy little bird with similar characteristics to the large fowl. They lay a smaller dark brown egg and are quite sweet once handled.

Wyandottes (Bantam) - Lavendar, Silver & Gold Laced
The Wyandotte is a docile bird which is available in many different colours making it a perfect addition for the garden. We only keep Silver and Gold Laced, and although the lacing can be difficult to breed correct, they are still beautiful birds.

Wybar (Bantam)
This is currently a work in progress! The Wybar is a triple purpose bird; eggs, utility and exhibition. It is autosexing and a neat, tidy bird.
